David Bigelow

Dave is a results-oriented mine professional with 40 years of experience in mine operations, corporate management and mining consultancy.

Dave’s mine operations experience includes Technical Services Superintendent of a large open pit gold mine in the Dominican Republic; Chief Underground Mine Engineer and Regional Mine Engineering Manager for one of North Americas largest gold mining companies; and Chief Engineer for a large platinum and palladium mine. His responsibilities at the corporate level included oversight of annual budget and production scheduling efforts, along with project stewardship at mine operations to ensure adherence to safety and engineering standards while considering environmental and community impacts. While working in mine consultancy with Stantec for 6 years, Dave was charged with building client relationships and providing project management sponsorship for underground and open pit projects related to mine design and scheduling, geotechnical considerations, infrastructure design and placement, constructability and financial analysis.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology / Earth Science (Honours) from Western University.
