Lauren Haney

Lauren brings 20 years of experience in environmental assessment and permitting for mineral projects in the Yukon. She has held senior leadership roles in both government and industry, including as Deputy Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources for the Yukon Government and Chair of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board. Lauren has a proven track record of building respectful partnerships with Indigenous governments, negotiating agreements that align interests, and advancing projects through complex regulatory systems. At Fireweed, she leads Indigenous Relations and Sustainability, ensuring that the company’s projects reflect strong environmental stewardship, regulatory excellence, and meaningful collaboration and partnerships with Indigenous governments and communities.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Environmental Management and Policy from Lund University in Sweden.
